As in the past we had quite a few enquiries from people asking how to find the teams that are close to them,
there is a new page on the website that allows you to do just that:

Go to the page here and enter your postcode or location and the range you want to search for.

You should have a page that it will display all the current teams in the West Midlands Basketball League.
If you hover your mouse over the little red icons, you should be able to see the team's name.

The West Midlands Summer League winners for 2008, Redditch Basketball team:

A EB level 2 Table Officials course will be held at Leasowes Sport Centre, Kent Road, Halseowen on Monday 22nd and Wednesday 24th September between 7-9pm. The Level 2 Exam will take place on Monday 6th October at 8pm. Preference will be given to clubs who do not have a qualified Table Official on the basis of first come first serve. Only one applicant pre club as there are a limited number of places. The course is funded by the West midland Area and is free to any club selected. please contact tony.johnson2256@yahoo.co.uk

A level 2 basketball coach award course, run by Shropshire Basketball Association, will run in Telford in July and September.

The West Midlands Premier League champions for 2008, Wolverhampton College Basketball team:

Premier division winners : Wolves CC, Runners up: Warley 'A'
Division 1 winners : Stoke, Runners up : Smiths Wood
Division 2 winners: Aston Sils, Runners up: Pro Guard Pacers
Division 3 winners: Weston Hoops, Runners up: Blazers

Stoke, and Smiths Wood have received an invitation for the Premier division.

Any Club interested in obtaing Club Accreditation and/or Clubmark status please contact Rob Palmer Birmingham Basketball Co-Ordinator on 07920 275317. These awards ensure good practice and could give a Club big advantages when attracting funding.
